About TrueDrive Cost
TrueDrive Cost helps people in the United States and Canada answer one question: what will this car cost to fuel where I live, and does a pricier electric or hybrid car pay itself back?
What we do
You pick up to three 2026 cars. We combine the official government fuel rating (EPA in the U.S., Natural Resources Canada in Canada) with your local electricity and gas prices and your yearly driving, then show the fuel cost, the total over the years you plan to keep the car and the payback time.
How we work
- Sourced numbers only. Ratings, prices and rates link back to the official source. If we cannot verify a number, we leave it out. See how we calculate this.
- Editable inputs. Every default price can be changed to match your bill.
- Independent. We do not take payment from carmakers or dealers and show no sponsored rankings. If we ever add advertising to the site, ads will be labeled as ads and will not change the numbers or the order of any results.
- Honest limits. We compare fuel and purchase price. Insurance, maintenance, depreciation, financing and incentives are not included.
Who runs it
TrueDrive Cost is an independent project of Ramz-AI-Studio, a small studio that builds web tools and apps. The site is built with the help of AI tools, and every data source is checked against the original publication. Reach us at ramzaistudio@gmail.com.
Corrections
If you spot a wrong number, tell us. We check it against the source and fix it. Please include the car, the country and what looks wrong.
